300 Feet

What does a 300 foot buffer zone look like to you?

For St. Johns County, Florida, a child safety zone looks a little something like this:

"...County Commission adopted a Child Safety Zone ordinance prohibiting registered sexual offenders and predators from loitering or prowling within 300 feet of specified locations designed for or used by children."(jacksonville.com, 9/5/2009)

Such areas have been traditionally designated as schools, bus stops (when kids are present), parks, arcades, but believe me, the list can mean whatever an officer of the law could make it out to mean. I would say viewing the upcoming Jim Carrey "A Christmas Carol" could be considered a place where children are known to gather.

Leading me to my point.

I perceive loitering as bandying about an area with no specific purpose. In my opinion, utilizing a boat launch located in a public park or dropping your kid off at school is not loitering. Neither is attending a family reunion in a state park or utilizing a public library, all public facilities persons designated as RSO's support via payment of their tax dollars. (Well, those who are still working....)

Would 300 foot buffer zones permit the legal comings and goings of the above described facilities? Or could loitering become as ill-defined as the catch all phrase "where children gather"?

ahhhhhhhhh the chickens come home to roost.

ALL OF JEB'S MONEY IS TAINTED FILTHY STOLEN MONEY.

LOOK WHAT CONTROLS OUR POLITICS.

funds unrelated to the direct practice of law cannot be accounted for, circumstances suggesting that investor money may have been misused by Mr. Rothstein who controlled all such accounts," Rosenfeldt said in the court papers.

A lawyer for some investors, Jeff Sonn, said initial estimates of the missing cash range from $100 million to $185 million.

"Nobody knows for sure," Sonn said.

At a brief hearing, Circuit Judge Jeffrey Streitfeld put off a decision on appointing a receiver by a day, in part to find out if Rothstein plans to return from an undisclosed foreign country to contest the move.

"This is an extraordinary effort that would have to be undertaken on an immediate basis," Streitfeld said. "Let's take a deep breath and see where we're going."

Neither Rothstein nor his attorney immediately returned telephone calls and e-mails seeking comment. An attorney hired by Rosenfeldt, former Miami U.S. Attorney Kendall Coffey, said he has been assured that Rothstein will return to the U.S. Coffey also said he has notified federal prosecutors about possible criminal wrongdoing at the firm.

"I have assured them of the law firm's full cooperation," Coffey said. "This is a seismic blast."

A spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in Miami declined comment.

Rothstein is a major player in South Florida business, politics and philanthropy. He has hosted fundraisers for former President George W. Bush, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and others. Rothstein also has contributed to numerous charities, including a foundation for children and youth run by former Miami Dolphins star Dan Marino and former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning.

Rothstein owns a $6.4 million home in Fort Lauderdale, properties in Manhattan and along Rhode Island's coast, and a large collection of expensive cars, including a Rolls-Royce and a Bentley. He was protected around the clock by off-duty Fort Lauderdale police officers, a detail that has now been rescinded by top officials at the police department, a spokesman said.

According to Rosenfeldt, Rothstein operated a business using the law firm's name

We can stop these bad laws.

There is a very very very "simple" solution to it all.

The POLITICIAN's have started all these lies and sold them to an uninformed public, so they could look good and get re-elected.

Here's the "simple" solution:
Don't vote them back into office.

Come next election, vote for anyone who IS NOT holding public office at this moment.

If we get rid of them.....then we will have a good chance at getting someone with common sense in office. That person will be the one who is willing to listen to the professionals and make our streets safe again.

Simple solution...FIRE all the current politicians by NOT voting for them again next election. We have plenty grass roots individuals who could do a BETTER JOB than the ones in office right now.

Bad lawmaking will stop when the new politicians know they will not be serving another term if they take the rights of citizens away.

You here that sound....it's the sound of a "Tea Party"!! And it's comming!!!!

Political Endurance Blogs

"The political blogs that may be the “best” of all, the most controversial, homespun, animated, original, creative and downright emotional spill from the 365-day-a-year bloggers. In this subdivision live blogs where big doses of commonsense social commentary are laced with searing political rants. Many are punctuated with posts on personal daily anecdotes, tragic and celebratory, virally propagated YouTube videos, and other miscellaneous content like a favorite recipe, baby and pet photos, and the general political-social sandwich which is daily life—take United States of Motherhood, for example. Blog traffic matters less here, up, down, or all around, many sites are enviable simply for their endurance and “balls-to-the-walls” earnestness: who cares who stops by, I’m speaking my mind regardless.
